FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about Targeted Blemish Care

If you cannot find the answer you are looking for here, we invite you to consult our general FAQ or contact us directly by email: our team will respond to you carefully (within 48 working hours).

What is a targeted blemish treatment?

A targeted blemish treatment is a localized cosmetic product designed to improve the appearance of less-than-perfect areas: shine, visible pores, and minor imperfections. It is used sparingly on the affected areas for a cleaner finish and a more consistent skincare routine.

Who is this targeted treatment intended for?

It's designed for skin with "temperamental" areas: the T-zone, chin, and minor recurring imperfections. The benefit is targeted treatment without weighing down the entire face, which often helps maintain more comfortable skin on a daily basis.

Can it be used on a button?

Yes, for targeted application. Apply a thin layer to the area, without rubbing, then leave the skin alone. The goal is cosmetic : to improve the appearance and avoid manipulating the area, which tends to worsen the result.

Should it be used on the entire face?

Not necessarily. The most effective approach is often: only on the affected areas . On the rest of the face, maintain simple hydration. This "zone by zone" approach avoids overloading the skin and improves long-term tolerance.

When should I apply it: morning or evening?

Start in the evening , especially if your skin reacts easily. If everything is comfortable, you can also use it in the morning, in a thin layer. In the morning, always finish with a suitable sunscreen: it's the foundation of a clean skincare routine.

How long does it take to see an improvement?

You can see a gradual improvement in appearance, especially in radiance and pore definition. To judge accurately, look at the results over 2 to 4 weeks of consistent use, without using multiple products simultaneously. Consistency yields the best results.

What is the benefit of kaolin in a blemish treatment?

Kaolin clay is prized for its mattifying effect and its ability to absorb excess sebum on the surface. The expected result: a clearer complexion, less shine, and visually less defined pores, without drying out the skin if the routine remains balanced.

What is the role of salicylic acid in this product?

Salicylic acid is used in cosmetics to help refine the appearance of skin, especially when it's prone to surface congestion. The goal: a more even texture and less visible areas. If you have sensitive skin, start gradually.

Charcoal: why include it in a targeted treatment?

Charcoal is often chosen for its "cleaning" effect on appearance: it helps to give a cleaner look to shiny or cluttered areas. This is a matter of surface appearance and visual comfort, not a promise of treatment.

Tea tree oil: is it suitable if you have reactive skin?

The formula contains tea tree extract, as well as fragrance and naturally occurring allergens (limonene, linalool, citral, etc.). If your skin reacts easily, perform a patch test 24–48 hours before gradually increasing the product. Tolerance is key.

Tea tree is especially valued in cosmetics for its “clearer skin” effect and its ability to improve the appearance of areas prone to imperfections , without promising a treatment.

Is this treatment suitable for oily skin?

Yes, especially when applied in a targeted way. The formula contains ingredients designed to create a "clean finish" (clay, salicylic acid, charcoal) while maintaining a skincare base. The goal is to improve the appearance without being harsh: a small amount, controlled frequency, and simple hydration around the skin.

And what about combination skin?

Yes. On combination skin, apply to the T-zone or chin, and keep a moisturizing cream/gel on areas that feel tight. This distribution prevents the "too dry here, too oily there" effect and helps maintain more stable skin.

Can it be used with a moisturizing gel?

Yes, and it's recommended if you want to avoid discomfort. Apply the targeted treatment, then a light moisturizing gel if needed. Comfortable skin shows less wrinkles and requires less manipulation, which often improves the overall result.

Can it be combined with an AHA exfoliant?

Yes, but avoid using everything on the same night if you have sensitive skin. Alternate: one evening an exfoliant, one evening a targeted treatment, or use the treatment only on specific areas. In practice, an AHA exfoliant is often used about once or twice a week, depending on your skin's tolerance . If you experience any burning or dryness, reduce the frequency and simplify your routine.

How do you know if this treatment is right for you?

If it improves the appearance of the affected areas (less shine, smoother texture) without discomfort, that's a good sign. If your skin feels tight, reddens significantly, or becomes irritated, you're going too fast: reduce the frequency and increase hydration.

This targeted blemish treatment is a cosmetic product: it aims to improve the appearance and comfort of the skin (clearer finish, improved feel, more consistent routine). It does not replace medical advice in case of significant or persistent irritation, or a marked reaction.
